WE CAN HELP WITH:

From December 13, 2024, the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) will come into force, replacing the General Product Safety Directive and related EU legislation. This new regulation introduces a harmonised approach to product safety for most non-food consumer products, including used, repaired, and reconditioned items. Businesses selling in the EU must ensure full compliance to avoid listing removals and enforcement actions. At Rubicon, we provide end-to-end GPSR compliance services to help you navigate these complex changes with confidence—from identifying applicable requirements to implementing robust safety systems and market surveillance strategies.

Non-EU manufacturers must appoint an EU-based Responsible Person (RP) to continue selling goods in the European Union after the GPSR takes effect. As your appointed RP, Rubicon offers a registered EU address and assumes legal responsibility for your products’ compliance. Our comprehensive RP services include regulatory and quality checks, batch release oversight, vigilance monitoring, market surveillance support, and liaison with EU authorities. We act as your trusted partner in ensuring smooth, compliant operations across EU markets—protecting your business and customers alike.

Technical documentation is at the core of product compliance under the GPSR and other EU regulations. Our team of regulatory experts specialises in authoring fully compliant technical files tailored to the latest legislative requirements. Whether you’re launching a new product or updating existing files, we ensure your documentation stands up to scrutiny—covering everything from conformity declarations and risk assessments to testing evidence and product descriptions.

Not sure if your existing documentation meets the latest standards? Our gap analysis service identifies missing or incomplete elements in your technical files. We thoroughly review your documentation against current regulatory requirements, including GPSR, and provide actionable recommendations to address compliance gaps. This proactive approach helps you avoid costly delays, listing removals, or enforcement actions and ensures you’re always audit-ready.

Proper labelling is a critical component of product compliance, especially under GPSR. We offer expert advice and assessments to ensure your labels meet all necessary requirements—including the presence of traceability information (e.g., batch numbers, serial codes), Responsible Person details, and safety warnings. We also guide language localisation, making sure your product warnings and instructions are accessible and legally compliant in each country of sale.

Navigating regulatory changes can be daunting—but our expert team is here to help. We offer tailored regulatory advice to help you understand and apply the latest EU legislation, including GPSR and other sector-specific requirements. Whether you’re unsure which rules apply to your product, need help interpreting Amazon’s compliance expectations, or require guidance during product development, we provide practical insights and strategic support every step of the way.

Under GPSR, businesses must ensure their products are safe before they reach the EU market. Our team supports you in conducting robust product safety risk assessments that evaluate potential hazards, usage conditions, and user demographics. We work with you to identify and mitigate risks early, helping protect consumers, avoid enforcement actions, and uphold your brand’s reputation. Our assessments are grounded in up-to-date regulatory frameworks and industry best practices.
